Position: Director and Sports Physiotherapist
Dan has over 12 years of experience in private practice and with sporting teams. He completed his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne in 2010. He has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Medicine, Manipulative Therapy; McKenzie trained, and a Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy.
Dan has most recently been a physio for Williamstown Football Club and the Melbourne Storm Under 20’s. He has been a head physiotherapist for several sports teams at a National and International level such as the New Zealand Rugby Secondary Schools, Canterbury Rugby Teams, Canterbury Soccer Teams and New Zealand Touch Rugby Opens.
Dan’s areas of clinical interest are in movement analysis, spinal conditions, pre and post surgery, sports injuries, running mechanics and manual/manipulative therapy. He has worked extensively in exercise therapy so he can help you to organize and discuss current and new gym exercise programs, whether it’s for the gym or at home.
Dan is also involved in a study called the Fashion Hip Study. The study involves treating all hip injuries conservatively and to set up a pathway to reduce the chances of surgery. If you have a hip injury, your costs could be covered by the study. Feel free to discuss this with him.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys the gym, martial arts, tennis, running and plays competitive touch rugby. He was selected for the Touch Blacks Squad in 2011.
Dan is currently available for consultation Monday to Saturday.
